Toiletries Distribution

29th April 2010, toiletries were distributed by Mr. Azad among the students of Play Group at 10:15 AM.
The parents of the students were present too.
The toiletries included Soap, Shampoo, Lotion, Cream etc. The Cabin Crews of Emirates Airline brought these items from Dubai through on flight to Dhaka.
The Dhaka Project is always grateful to them and also to all the anonymous donors in Dubai.

Richard NG’s 7th visit to Dhaka.

It was Richard NG’s 7th visit to Dhaka.
As a former staff of the Emirates Airlines and a Volunteer of the TDP he has a busy schedule with the children of The Dhaka Project from 26th April to 3rd May 2010.He spent a lot of time teaching the students Karate lessons. Richard is also a Black Belt holder and a Sponsor of a child under TDP.
On 29th April he distributed Year Final Result Cards among the students of Class 1, Section A.Mr. Richard also poses with Al Amin, a karate student who secured the highest mark in his class 3.

We also admire his energetic activities at the age of 63!

Chocolate Distribution for Pre School

25th April 2010, Students of Daycare, Play Group & Nursery were busy in their classes. At 12 PM Chocolates were brought.
Student’s joy knew no bounds when Mr. Azad distributed chocolates among the students.The Cabin Crews of Emirates Airline brought these Chocolates from Dubai through on flight to Dhaka.

Open Cloth Sale for the Community

As a regular part of fund raising activity, a "Cloth Sale for Fund Raising" was organized by The Dhaka Project on 24th April 2010 in an open field near The Dhaka Project Office.
Different types & sizes of clothes as well as shoes & Sandals were on display for a very low price.
Before the sale, an announcement held around. The community of Gawair was informed about the event two days before. Many people including students of TDPS gathered to buy clothes according to their needs.An amount of 3,748.00 BDT was raised from the sale.
The Cabin Crews of Emirates Airlines brought these clothes from Dubai through on flight to Dhaka.
The Dhaka Project is always grateful to them and also to all the donors in Dubai.

Thursday - Weekly Food Distribution Day

22nd April 2010 was the Weekly Food Distribution Day of The Dhaka Project School. Students were lined-up according to their grades as usual.
Names were called by Mr. Azad based on the weekly class presence.Bags containing Rice, Lentil, Potato, Onions, Garlic & Eggs were distributed among the students by Echo Feng, Chinese Volunteer & Emirates Airline Cabin Crew.Bag full of weekly diet food recommended by TDP Medical Centre reduces the burden of nutrition among the student’s family.
Every Thursday is a happy day for the student’s of TDPS.

Fruit Distribution Day

19th April 2010, School Final Examination is going on in full swing.
It’s a vacation for the students of KG 1, KG 2, Class 1 and Class 2 from 20th April.It was a happy day for the students before going to vacation.
Student’s joy knew no bounds when Mr. Azad distributed apples among the students.The students were advised to wash the apple before eating.
Fruit distribution day is always the happiest day of the month.

Thanks to Emirates Airline Cabin Crew Members

Noemiprather & Sofia, Jay Jefferson & Adam, Emirates Airline Cabin Crew visited The Dhaka Project on 13 & 15 April 2010 with Bags full of donations including Cloths, Toiletries, Chocolates, Toys etc donated by anonymous donors.They were amazed to see the activities carried out by The Dhaka Project.
Jay Jefferson donated 100 Dirhams (UAE).

H & S donated Baby cloths

H & S donated Baby cloths to The Dhaka Project.
Captain Werner brought the baby cloths on 11th April 2010 by Emirates Airlines.
Later the baby cloths were distributed among the babies of the Daycare. The babies were very happy to wear the new cloths.

School Final Examination Starts from 11 April

11 April 2010. Students of The Dhaka Project School are busy answering the question papers.
It’s the year final examination of the school. Students will be promoted to new classes from May 2010 based on their performance. Its summer, weather is very hot with humidity, temperature 39 degrees-----examinations of all class started simultaneously from 10:00 a.m.
All the students studied hard round the year and now it is time to assess them on the exam papers.

Mr Martin Bjringer and Mr Carl Rosvall donated US$ 10,000 to the Dhaka Project on March 24 2010.
They were among the Swedish team who visited The Dhaka Project on 18 March 2010.Thanks a lot to Mr. Martin & Mr. Carl from all the students of The Dhaka Project for your kind support.
The students really had a good time with you.
We also invite Mr. Martin & Mr. Carl to pay another visit to our project when they come to Bangladesh.

Chicken rolls prepared by students

Eleven students of Std-VI were prepared for their Home Economics class on 1st April 2010.
Miss Sonia Mirza demonstrated the session on how to prepare Chicken rolls at 3:30 pm at the Canteen of The Dhaka Project office.
Ingredients such as Flour, Chicken, Oil, Tomatoes, Cucumber, Carrots, etc. were bought from a shopping mall.
The students enjoyed the practical session as they mastered the recipe. Later marks were given based on the judgment of how the burgers tested.
