Food bags Distributed at RSF Dhaka Project School & College

12^th December 2011 was the Food Distribution Day at RSF-Dhaka Project School & College. Students were lined-up according to their grades as usual. The parent’s were present too. Names were called by Mr. Azad based on the weekly class presence. Food Bags containing Rice, Lentil, Potato, Onions, Garlic & Eggs were distributed among the students of KG-1 to Std-9 from 3:30 P.M. Bag full of weekly diet food recommended by TDP Medical Centre reduces the burden of nutrition among the student’s family. Food distribution day is a happy day for the student’s of RSF-Dhaka Project School & College.

Nestle Program at School

Nestle Bangladesh arranged a promotional program at RSF Dhaka School & College on 8 November 2011 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. About 240 mothers of Children were present. A Nutritionist from Nestle described the essential necessity of eating vegetables with Maggi curry masala which is only 5 Taka. Cooks from the Nestle provided free cooked food such as vegetable, Parata, Soup etc. The mothers were gifted with packets of Maggi curry masala. This curry masala has a good scent and flavor which helps to grow an appetite.

Open Clothe Sale for the Community

As a regular part of fund raising activity, a "Clothe Sale for Fund Raising" was organized by RSF Dhaka School & College on 30^th November-2011 in an open field near RSF Dhaka School & College Office from 3:00 PM To 4:00 PM. Different types & sizes of clothes as well as shoes, Sandals and Prams were on display for a very low price. Before the sale, an announcement was held around. The community of Gawair was informed about the event two days before. Many people including students of RSF Dhaka School & College gathered to buy clothes according to their needs. An amount of 5730.00 BDT was raised from the sale. The Cabin Crews of Emirates Airlines brought these clothes from Dubai through on flight to Dhaka. RSF Dhaka School & College is always grateful to them and also to all the donors in Dubai.

Feedback from Ai Fukuhara (Japan)

I am Ai Fukuhara from Japan who stayed in the Dhaka Project for 9 days as a volunteer. First of all, I would like to say thank you very much to all the staff and the students in TDP. There was full of warm atmosphere and I was always welcomed whenever I went.
The stay program was well organized and I could gain more understanding about how TDP worked. Most impressing part of my stay was to see a contrast between the school and the families around it. I had a chance to visit some families whose children were candidates to join the school. I saw and actually felt the reality of their poverty and difficulties. On the other hand, I joined the classroom in TDP and mixed with the students who were lively, cheerful and eager to learn. Through this experience, I could see how the education gave hope to them and made difference on people. I went to TDP as a volunteer but it was me who was encouraged by people in the school with their energy and smile.

Oranges for Monthly Fruit Distribution

3^rd December 2011, Winter is peeping through window—A few days later warm cloths will be on. It is Monthly Fruit distribution of the school. Baskets full of Oranges were distributed by Mr. Azad. Fruit distribution day is always the happiest day of the month. The 500 students of RSF Dhaka School and College received oranges and are happy.

Captain David Ring donates clothes.

Captain David Ring, Sponsor of Sabbir Hossain sent bags full of children clothes for the kids of RSF Dhaka School & College. The clothes were distributed among the children on 30 November 2011. The Cabin Crews of Emirates Airlines brought these clothes on flight to Dhaka. RSF Dhaka School & College is always grateful to them and also to all the donors.
