Awareness program was conducted by Dr
Jahid Hossain, Dr Amirul Islam and Volunteer Medical Student Nur Afreen Afsar (Sophie Davis School of Biomedical
Education at the City College of New York)
on 04 August 2012. Students were the participants. They were trained on First
Aid and cautioned about Dog bite and Cat bite, Fever, Wound, burn etc and what
to do, recommendation, etc. Several practical sessions were demonstrated too. All
students were shown how to wash the injured area and dress it with antiseptic
and cotton. This will help the children to be safe and act upon what they have
learned.
