Science Fair-2012

 Science Fair -2012 was held on the roof top of The Dhaka Project School today (30th June 2012) from 10 AM to 1 PM Students from Class 2 to 9 especially interested in Science Project participated with 33 different projects.
Produce electricity with lemon



Among the projects Expansion of gases , Acids present in different foods, Make an underwater volcano, Verify The 3rd law of Newton’s, Produce electricity with lemon, Osmosis Experiment,  Air occupy Space, 8. Hand aquarium, How to weight Air, Density Experiment etc. were most interesting. It was for the 3rd time that the students of The Dhaka Project School experienced such a science fair in their own school. All students visited the fair in a queue with their class teacher. Rashedul Islam, Deputy Project Manager, Parveen Sultana, Principal of TDPS and all the teachers including Admin Officio’s were present.

Grace, Rochelle & Pilot Matthew Visits RSF Dhaka Project


From Left Grace Khoury (Lebanon), Rochelle Tremaine (New Zealand) and Pilot Matthew Foulkes (Canada) all Emirates Airline Cabin Crew visited RSF Dhaka Project School on 25th June 2012. They brought Cake, Biscuits, Chocolates & Toys for the Children. The Crews spent some time with the children and expressed their satisfaction towards the programs. Awareness Program for Standard 3 Students

 Awareness program was conducted by Dr. Jahid Hossain & Masuka Faria on 23 June 2012.

 Students of Standard 3 (Aged-10 yrs) were the participants.
They were trained on First Aid and cautioned about Dog bite & Cat bite, Fever, Wound, burn etc and what to do, recommendation, etc.  Several practical sessions were demonstrated too. This will help the children to be safe and act upon what they have learned.

Jonathan’s Gift for 181 Students



Jonathan (USA) is Volunteering for RSF Dhaka Project from 10 June. He arrived on 7th June and shall volunteer for 2 weeks. On 17th June Jonathan distributed Mathematical Instrument Box and Charger Lamps to the Grade 5 Students.  A total of 181 Students shall receive Mathematical Instrument Boxes. Grade 5 Students will sit for Examination under the Government in November 2012. The Students were very happy to receive the Gift from Jonathan.

Survey on Infants Health by EVERY ONE Young

 EVERY ONE Young is a worldwide campaign of Save the Children.
 In Bangladesh Save the Children organizes this campaign in 25 different schools through out the country to raise awareness among the students, teachers & guardians.  
On 16 June 2012.       15 Young Campaigners of RSF Dhaka Project School conducted a
  survey on the poor slum families (at Gawair) to gather some information on infants –whether they have received any health care. 
It will also help to identify the local disease they face in common. The identified problem will be solved by this campaign.
