Case study writing by Every One Campaigner’s


29 July 2012. EVERY ONE is a worldwide campaign of Save the Children. In Bangladesh Save the Children organizes this campaign in 25 different schools through out the country to raise awareness among the students, teachers and guardians. The Every One Campaigner’s of RSF Dhaka Project are writing Case study on the families of Gawair Area (Dakkhinkhan). The theme is on their previous and present health, family and financial condition. The case study also includes what type of diseases they suffer (Diarrhea, Pneumonia, Malnutrition), where they go for treatment (to doctor or traditional healer), types of medicine etc. 

The best case study will be published in Nari Maitree's Magazine soon.
 Save the Children EVERY ONE published a Guideline with the Dhaka Project children photograph. Every One Campaigner’s poses for a photo session. EVERY ONE campaign will continue till December 2012 under the supervision on Nari Maitree (NGO).

Adolescence & Puberty Knowledge for Boys




A session on Adolescence and Puberty Knowledge for the Boys from Std 6 to Std 9 were held on 29 July 2012 by Dr. Jahid Hossain and Dr. Amirul Islam. The boys aged between 12 to 16 were taught on Physical changes, Psychological changes, Emotional Changes, Self Identity (Discover), food habits, etc. This session will help the boys to keep aware of their health.

This session will help the girls to keep aware of their health.

Michael, Noelia & Michael Abdalla Visits RSF Dhaka Project

From Left Michael Schaller (Australia), Noelia Soledad Garcia Perez (Argentina) and Michael Abdalla (Egypt) all Emirates Airline Cabin Crew visited RSF Dhaka Project School on 29th July 2012. They brought Cake, Banana & Dates for the Children. The Crews spent some time with the children and expressed their satisfaction towards the programs. They also distributed the gifts among the children. Thank you for visiting—we are grateful to The Cabin Crews of Emirates Airline.

Magid Souhami Volunteers at School

Magid Souhami is Volunteering at RSF Dhaka Project School from 15 July. Magid is a French and working in Switzerland in a renowned Multinational Company. He is willing to volunteer for 2 more weeks. He is taking Extra Curricular Classes for the Nursery and Play Group children. He also joins the awareness programs at School. Magid distributed Pens as Gifts to the elder children of the school and balloons, Glowing Stick to the Pre School Children and also taught them how to make things out of Balloons.

Awareness Program for Grade 4 Students

Awareness program was conducted by Family Counselor Masuka Faria and Dr Jahid Hossain on 28 July 2012. Students of Grade 4A & 4B (Aged-12 yrs) were the participants. Volunteer Magid (France) was also present. They were trained on First Aid and cautioned about Dog bite & Cat bite, Fever, Wound, burn etc and what to do, recommendation, etc. Several practical sessions were demonstrated too. The student sitting on the Right had an injury while coming to school, she cut her toe. All students were shown how to wash the injured area and dress it with antiseptic and cotton. This will help the children to be safe and act upon what they have learned.

Second Term Examination Going on at School

Second Term Examination is going on at RSF Dhaka Project School. Students are busy answering the question papers to score High marks. Students from Play Group to Grade 9 are attending the examination which began on 19 July and end on 01 August.

Shabbana Shama Volunteered at Nursery


Shabbana Shama Volunteered at RSF Dhaka Project Nursery section from 21 June to 14 July.   


She is studying at Middle East International School (American Section), Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. 


She is leaving Bangladesh in a few days. Shabbana received an Appreciation Letter from the Principal of RSF Dhaka Project School.

Galen Gillham at Extra Curricular Class


Galen  Gillham is Volunteering at RSF Dhaka Project from 07 July  for Extra Curricular Classes.  Galen is an Architect in Australia and will volunteer till 19 July. He showed the children 3D effects of Architectural Designs.  Galen is very much interested to design a school for Dhaka Project which will be built in the near future.

Workshops with Department of Psychology

(From Left) Laura Malcolm, Allison Stalling (6th) and Claire Pennell (7th) from Department of Psychology, Queensland University of Technology, Australia and Sabrina, Tanzina, Ruvaiya & Nayeema from Department of Psychology, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh jointly organized workshops with the students and teachers at RSF Dhaka Project School.

The team made a careful Observation of the students and teachers from 9 to 10 July. The Students also had 2 Days of workshop. The students had to do much different paperwork which will identify their weakness, likes & dislikes etc.
 
11 & 12 July was workshop for teachers. The team used multimedia to focus on some teaching techniques. The team will also do some individual counseling for students as required till 19 July 2012. Thanks to Professor Linda Gilmore of Department of Psychology, Queensland University of Technology, Australia who made the arrangement for the Australian team to visit RSF Dhaka Project School.

Marium & Ayesha Volunteers at Nursery


Marium Moin and Ayesha Moin are Volunteering at RSF Dhaka Project from 28 July. They are helping the Class Teacher at Nursery Section.  They are also decorating the Nursery by writing and coloring Numbers, Alphabets etc. The Kids of Nursery are enjoying very much. Marium & Ayesha are here in Bangladesh for Summer Vacation, they will be back to Canada for High School after 19 July.

Supakit Cheung at Food Distribution


12 July 2012 was the Food Distribution Day at RSF-Dhaka Project School. Students were lined-up according to their grades as usual. Names were called by Mr. Azad based on the weekly class presence. Food Bags containing Rice, Lentil, Potato, Onions, Garlic & Eggs were distributed among the students of KG-1 to Std-10 by Volunteer Supakit Cheung (Thailand). Bag full of weekly diet food recommended by TDP Medical Centre reduces the burden of nutrition among the student’s family. Food distribution day is a happy day for the student’s of RSF-Dhaka Project School.
